Dr Spiros Batas

Spiros Batas is Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Queen Mary University of London. He was also a visiting lecturer at Lancaster University Management School. He holds his PhD in International Business and Strategy from the University of Edinburgh and was examined by Professor Jan Johanson of Uppsala University. He had previously gained an MSc in International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh. He also obtained an MSc by Research in Labour Economics, Human Resource Management and Innovation from the University of Aix-Marseille and CNRS. He also holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Piraeus and a BSc in Business Administration.
Spiros previously worked at the University of Greenwich where he acted as the Director of the MA and MBA IB programmes, and designed and led the International Entrepreneurship module. Moreover, he led a project initiated by Edinburgh World Heritage (EWH) which examined the economic valuation of Edinburgh's World Heritage Site. A report was published and there was a media coverage (e.g. The Times, BBC, amongst others). Spiros also assisted EWH with its organisational restructure. |
